Neurosurgery

The department of Neurosciences is improving year wise and this year it has achieved significant improvement. The percentage increase in number of cases operated is best so far in last ten years.

This year the number of elective case has increased very much because almost all difficult cases are being operated at our department. This year we have started doing functional and vascular neurosurgeries. These are highly sophisticated and delicate procedures done only at few neurocentres. Streotactic biopsy was done for the first time this year.

We offer micro neurosurgery for all patients which results in very low morbidity and practically nil mortality. We offer endoscopic surgery for pituitary tumour and CSF leak. Skull base surgery another specialized field in neurosurgery is done with good results.
