A boon to mankind in alleviating the pains and to lead a healthy life. The department aims at providing dedicated service with excellent care for its customers. The department works with a philosophy of “The patient comes first” at any circumstances.

The well equipped department with the qualified staff gives round the clock care for the critically diseased patients in intensive care units. This year the department has shown a good inflow of in patients and out patients.

The departments with its counterpart Orthopaedics &Traumatology deal with all types of traumatic patients and meticulously deal the right from the day of admission to total rehabilitation.

The department is well known for its extended service rendered to Neuro patients like head injuries, stroke, paralyzed & all type of neuro patients & early in making them ambulant. Our service also renders services to General Medicine, General surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Diabetology Nephrology, and Oncology departments.

The department along with well structured orthotic unit to provide well contoured orthoses, braces & calipers that has thrown light in lives of many amputees with proper limb fitting & adequate training to lead a successful life independently.

The department also provides pre and postoperative physio care to the cardio-thoracic surgery patients to bring early ambulization.

Training Activities

The department provides Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship {CRRI} training for the physiotherapy students. More than 12 physiotherapy colleges from all over Tamilnadu collaborated with us for their teaching programme. The department has trained 168 students last year.
